Biography

Asha Mohammed is a final year medical student at Bristol University,  and has been working as an outreach worker at Integrate UK for the past 2 years. She works alongside the charity to tackle gender-based violence, particularly female genital mutilation (FGM) and radicalisation by going into secondary schools across the UK to give talks alongside her colleagues.

In November 2018 she was the lead organiser for the National FGM Conference held at Bristol university which aimed to improve understanding of the medical and psychological implications of FGM amongst other topics and saw talks from leading expert speakers cover these import issues to over 120 delegates.
