Dr Mark Levy was the clinical lead for the National Review of Asthma Deaths (NRAD 2011-2014) and has been expert witness for HM Coroners in four child asthma deaths since NRAD. Dr Levy is a locum GP in London, and has a special interest in respiratory diseases. He was one of the six founder members, first Chairman and past editor of the Primary Care Respiratory Society UK (formerly the GPIAG). He has authored or co-authored six books on asthma and over 150 papers in peer-reviewed journals. He is a member of the Global Initiative on Asthma (GINA) Executive Board and Chairman of the Dissemination and Implementation Committee. He was an expert assessor for NCAS and is currently a GP appraiser in London.
