Biography

Dr Matthias Hohmann has been a GP since 2004, initially in Bradford, later Oldham. He became Macmillan GP for Oldham in 2007 and completed a postgraduate diploma in palliative medicine in 2009. He has been a GP trainer since 2016.

In 2015, he joined the senior medical team at Dr Kershaw’s Hospice in Oldham. This is now his main clinical role, and he became medical director for the hospice last year. He is also the Macmillan GP adviser for Greater Manchester and East Cheshire, as well as clinical director for cancer for NHS Oldham CCG.
