Ms Marielle Nobbenhuis is a gynaecological oncology surgeon at the Royal Marsden. She qualified in medicine from the University of Leiden in the Netherlands and continued to train in gynaecology and obstetrics at the Erasmus Medical Centre in Rotterdam. She completed the RCOG-recognised sub-specialty gynaecological oncology fellowship at The Royal Marsden in 2009.
Ms Nobbenhuis obtained a PhD (cum laude) grade in research involving the natural history of premalignant cervical lesions and infection with human papillomavirus resulting in several peer-reviewed publications and presentations in this field. Her main research topics are cervical cancer and ovarian cancer screening in women with a family history of ovarian cancer.
Ms Nobbenhuis’s special interests are laparoscopic surgery, robotic surgery, cervical cancer and radical surgery for ovarian cancer.
