Jaweeda Idoo is a GP, clinical leader and Chief Medical Officer of Greater Manchester Primary Care CIC (GMPC), the trusted Greater Manchester provider platform for General Practice at scale.
GMPC brings together the clinical, commercial and operational capability of local primary care providers to design, secure, mobilise and assure services that require GM-scale delivery. Working through GP Federations, PCNs and practices, GMPC creates scale without centralising care — retaining local knowledge, relationships and accountability while enabling primary care to deliver at scale.
Jaweeda has extensive experience of neighbourhood health, prevention, integrated care and system transformation across Greater Manchester. She has led work spanning elective reform, outpatient transformation, diabetes, prevention and neighbourhood models of care, and co-chaired the prevention workstream of the Fuller Stocktake.
Her current focus includes how neighbourhoods can become a genuine organising principle for health and care, and how elective services can be redesigned around patients rather than organisational boundaries.
She is also a Trustee of Manchester Camerata, reflecting her wider interest in creativity, culture and health.
