Dr Helen Pears

Dr. Helen Pears is a Consultant Psychiatrist who graduated in medicine from the University of Liverpool in 1999, where her love of psychiatry first took root. During her training, Dr. Pears developed a strong interest in medical ethics and education, completing a Master’s in the Ethics of Health Care and a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education. She has been a Consultant Psychiatrist since 2007, working in the NHS in and around Merseyside in general adult community mental health, acute mental health, adult ADHD and medical education. The primary care/secondary care partnership is at the heart of her work and she is passionate about ensuring that every contact with people with severe mental illness counts to ensure their wider health and social functioning is optimised.
