Dr Justin Penner

Paediatric infectious diseases consultant, St Mary's Hospital, London

Justin is currently a paediatric infectious diseases consultant at Imperial College Healthcare NHS trust, St Mary's Hospital in London. After completing paediatric training at the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg, Canada with a special focus in infectious diseases, Justin went on to train in paediatric infectious disease at Imperial College Healthcare Trust and Great Ormond Street Hospital. Returning to Canada, Justin was a consultant in paediatric infectious diseases at the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario in Ottawa, Ontario until returning to London in 2025. Justin's clinical and academic work focuses on perinatal infections and infections in marginalised populations. Justin is a teaching faculty member of the PENTA network for children living with HIV, the European Society of infectious disease study group on infections of the brain, and the Canadian Paediatric Society Infectious Diseases and Immunisation committee.
