MIMS Learning and our parent company Haymarket Media Group are updating our group event activity inline with guidance from the World Health Organization and to reflect local government guidelines to keep all of our participants and teams safe. For MIMS Learning Live, we are also acutely aware of the impact of the pandemic on our speakers and delegation who are on the forefront of this crisis. Biography

 

Dr Peter Bagshaw has been a GP in for over 30 years, and is a partner at the Minehead Medical Centre. He has been Senior Clinical Fellow at the University of Bristol, and Clinical Lead in Mental Health, Dementia, Learning Difficulties and Adult Safeguarding for South Gloucestershire CCG. He sits on the national dementia IAF,  and is currently the Director of the South West Clinical Network for Dementia, and SWCN IAPT lead.

He has co-authored the recently published NHSE “Older person’s Mental Health Primer” and is Mental Health and Dementia section editor of the online magazine “Chronic Conditions”. His outside interests include painting, quantum mechanics and karate (black belt in Shotokan Karate). He has recently written a book on the nature of reality, exploring the links between neuroscience and modern physics.
