Dr Harsha Master
Dr Harsha Master is a GP and has an academic interest in infectious disease (with a BSc in Infection and Immunity). She became interested in COVID-19 while part of an innovative primary care team working with community services to prevent admissions to hospital and keep patients at home. She co-designed a new multidisciplinary team pathway to support the rehabilitation of patients with post-COVID complications. The pathway has evolved to deliver coordinated, holistic care involving both medical assessment and rehabilitation, with colleagues in social care, acute hospitals, mental health, and the voluntary sector working closely. The pathway went live in August 2020 and they have had over 700 referrals so far.
