MIMS Learning Live North

Emergency and First Aid

In the event of an emergency please contact a member of staff from Haymarket or The Spine, who are located on all levels and at the registration desk on the ground floor.

In the event of a fire alarm, please leave your belongings and exit via the clearly marked emergency exits, where stewards will guide you to the meeting point. Do not use the lifts.

Event Sustainability

As of July 2023, the organisers of MIMS Learning Live, Haymarket Media Group, have been awarded ISO 20121 for its Sustainable Event Management System. Check out here the positive changes we introduced.

Accessibility. Is the venue accessible?

The Spine has a separate accessible entrance at the front of the building, as well as a low section on the main reception and lower reception areas on our event floors to allow easier access for wheelchair users.

We ask all our clients to let us know of any impairments and/or accessibility needs in advance, so a Generic Emergency Evacuation Plan (GEEP) can be prepared for each attendee. This allows us to allocate resources to cover health and safety and provide evacuation support on the day through our buddy system.

Members of our team are buddy-trained so in case of a fire emergency, any attendee needing assistance has someone specifically trained to help them. A buddy will greet them on arrival and explain emergency procedures and details including the refuge area, communication system, and rescue process.

Where additional needs have not been communicated to the organiser until the day of the meeting/event, the organiser should make these known to the Event Manager on duty and the attendee(s) can then be introduced to a buddy for an emergency briefing.

Are there any accessible toilets?

Accessible toilet facilities equipped with emergency alarms are located on all floors and can be accessed from all of our event spaces.

Lift Access

Spaces at The Spine is split across four different floors, including the ground floor, and we have six lifts which give access to every event floor.

Will there be any special sound and visual effects?

Apart from stage lights there won’t be any flashing lights and loud music.

Am I allowed to bring my aider or assistance dog?

Yes. Please inform us when booking so we can reserve a space for you and your aider / assistance dog.

Events Code of Conduct

Haymarket Media Group, the organisers of MIMS Learning Live, are committed to ensuring our events provide a positive and enjoyable experience for everyone present. All attendees are expected to adhere to our Events Code of Conduct to ensure a safe, respectful and inclusive environment for everyone attending Performance Marketing Unlocked.

Quiet space / Prayer room - if applicable

If you require the use of a quiet space to take a moment away from the sensory experience of the exhibition to rest, reflect or pray, we will have a dedicated room available, which can be found on the Top Floor. Please follow our on site event signage which will direct you to the room. Dedicated networking, seating and remote working spaces will be available throughout the event for phone calls, meetings, discussions or anything that may disturb the quiet enjoyment of the quiet space for others.

Assistive Listening

All event areas at Spaces at The Spine are equipped with Sennheiser MobileConnect. MobileConnect is an assistive and personal listening solution that streams live audio content via Wi-Fi to any iOS or Android phone. Spaces with Sennheiser MobileConnect will have a QR code displayed in the room which can be scanned to connect to audio in that space.

Will I receive a Certification of Attendance (CPD)?

Certificates of attendance will be issued after the conference and sent to your registered email address within 5 working days of the conference. Please ensure we have up-to-date contact details for you.

This conference is self-accredited. There is no set amount or min/max of credits to receive, it depends on how many sessions you attend but typically 1 hour of learning = 1 CPD credit.
