Haymarket Media Group is committed to playing our part in creating a more sustainable future and are working hard to minimise the carbon footprint of our events.

We have gained ISO 20121 certification making it among the first media companies to become accredited in the UK. Haymarket now possesses an accredited method to self-audit, ensuring the realisation of our ambitious goals and promoting ongoing enhancements in efficiency and performance across our live events portfolio.

We want to create more sustainable events and help our attendees do the same.

Positive changes we have introduced: 

• We encourage our guests to use low emissions means of transport when travelling to our events. 

• Select venues which are in close proximity to public transport routes. 

• Our procurement process requires our suppliers to demonstrate the steps they are taking to make their own operations sustainable. 

• Prioritise venues using reusable energy sources.

• ​​Where possible we are swapping out high-carbon foods like beef and lamb for lower-carbon meats and prioritising vegetarian, meat opt in and vegan options, along with using seasonal and local produce to help lower the carbon footprint of the event.

• The majority of the signage we use onsite is returned to a depot and entered into specialist recycling. 

• We have reduced the amount of printed materials which we provide to attendees by switching to digital. 

• We will be gathering information from all our suppliers around their waste and sustainability initiatives.

• In partnership with Isla, we are using the TRACE platform to measure our emissions and reduce our carbon footprint in 2025 and beyond.

• We focus on a paperless event experience and do not provide printed agendas or programmes.  All of our event marketing is online.

• Encourage exhibitors and sponsors to use sustainable construction materials on site.
